Since college students began to participate in sports, when Harvard played ale at the first college sports competition in 1879, the problem of whether or not to pay college students was solved. Since then, the athlete, the coach, and the college administrator came up with the idea for or against opposing the opinion of college students. Students claim that they earn money for university income, the games they play and for the champions they win.

I think university sports should be considered a profession. Athletes should be paid. University sports is an important part of American culture and economics. Currently, student athletes are considered amateurs. The university is a foothold to the professional league. NCAA is abusing student athletes. The university manages a national entertainment company that manages the monopoly compensation rate (Byers 1). According to the provisions of NCAA, a competitor loses his / her qualification when he / she receives a remuneration, contracts with an agent, receives pay, incentive, remuneration, education fee or allowance, or when playing on a professional team. Compared to professional, sports amateur always shows a positive value, but this is the opposite. Professional sports means to be bad and to get worse; amateur sports mean good and better

In short, university amateurs refer to the fact that athletes can not be paid for sports services. Today's athletic athletes are called student athletes. College Sports Management Organization NCAA treats these people as students, but it is not a member school expert or employee. Therefore, student athletes are not currently receiving monetary compensation (Murphy & Pace, 1994). According to NCAA, student athletes participating in sports are only a part of their total education and are not the main purpose of going to college (Meggyesy, 2000).
