Collaboration between School Leaders Participating Members in Education

In the education system, in order to maintain practical standards in each school district and develop development plan, it is necessary to consider several important factors. Members of Ontario Teachers College are educational leaders who create and maintain learning communities in the classroom, in school, and in the profession. They work with colleagues and other experts, parents, and other members of the community to strengthen school programs and student learning. Members of Ontario Teachers College are learners who are aware of the interdependence of teacher learning and student learning. They are participating in the scope of professional development to improve their practice. The university is currently formally reviewing standards by asking teachers about the understanding of practical standards.

To meet the needs of students in the urban school environment, the UMKC Urban Education Institute (IUE) was founded in collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences and the Education University in the fall of 2005. IUE uses innovative and rigorous preparation methods to train qualified teachers who are ready to meet the needs of the Kansas City community. The Faculty of Education provides undergraduate courses to acquire IUE experience and Bachelor of Arts in early childhood education, elementary school, junior high school and secondary education. Schools recommend that students be certified in various content areas. The Faculty of Education will work closely with local school schools to provide theoretical foundations and classroom practice for future teachers through on-site work, practice and internship.
