From 1945 to 1991, the Cold War was an era of economic, political and military tensions between the United States of America and the Soviet Union. After the Second World War, the United States and the Soviet Union became the two biggest powers of the time. They are competitors who want more land in the Soviet Union and the US is doing everything that can be done to ensure that this will not happen.

The Cold War was a war between the Communist countries led by the Soviet Union and democracies led by the United States. When the US tried to stop them, the Soviet Union tried to spread communism. The Soviet leader was Joseph Stalin and the United States had many leaders during the Cold War. The reason why it was called the Cold War is that they have not really fought each other. 1 One of the main reasons for the tension between the United States and the United States is mutual distrust of each other. The Soviet Union believed that the United States wanted to dominate the world. The United States also wants the Soviet Union to rule the world. Every controversy is a fight between what they believe is right and wrong. 1

If you do not know yet, the Cold War is a period of fierce competition between the United States and the Soviet Union. The Cold War lasted from the end of the Second World War in 1945 until the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. The Cold War was not a real war with people, guns, tanks, fighters, but a fierce war. President Reagan of the two superpowers in the world thinks that the United States needs to have strong military power. He thinks he is willing to negotiate with the Soviets (he does), but he wants to negotiate from a strong position. In 1983, Reagan proposed a missile defense system called Strategic Defense Program (SDI). Basically this is a missile defense system, laser and other state-of-the-art technology can offset future missiles. This project relied on technologies that were not yet available, but this project aroused the fear of the Soviet Union and gave the US an advantage in negotiations. The project has never been fully deployed
