Cognitive/Social Development of the Elementary Student

The stage of elementary school is full of important milestones in cognition and social development. These basic milestones described by Piaget include specific operational stages of child's ability to develop logical thinking, including the ability to distinguish individual thinking skills (Bukatko and Daehler, 2012). Primary educators and caregivers are responsible for focusing on the appropriate field of near-end development to provide ecologically friendly games and exchanges with friends and to develop higher level thinking skills.

Primary school teachers supervise the cognitive, social and emotional development of students from 1st grade to 6th grade. They are responsible for informing parents and administrators of the development and implementation of lesson plans, evaluation of student performance, maintenance of classroom discipline, and student progress. Elementary school teachers usually oversee a single classroom and teach all core subjects such as mathematics, languages, science, reading, social studies. You can also design bulletin boards and other classroom teaching materials, oversee break times and free time, adjust excursions, participate in employee meetings and in-service seminars. In the spring, elementary school teachers run UHA camp, each class selects theme and activities to learn more about it. The goal of performance at elementary school is to grow students socially, intellectually, spiritually, and physically. Teachers adapt to various learning styles and learning difficulties. Students will receive creative project instruction in theater, music and art. There are also free time and systematic sports classes. Elementary school students go to excursion and teachers always provide hands-on experience to help students learn. There is a Spanish teacher in the lower grade school.
