Cognitive therapy is one of the few scientific theories widely tested and has been found to be very effective in over 300 clinical trials. It focuses on customer's immediate or automatic thinking and how these ideas affect their emotions and behaviors. The purpose of cognitive therapy is to identify these ideas that have little impact on customers. Next, teach customers how to identify these automatic ideas and how to effectively change them. Cognitive therapy (CT) is a psychotherapy developed by American psychiatrist Aaron T. Beck.
