We must consider the code as an important element in the wider effort to make ethics a priority for organizations, to help move ethical principles into practice. The organization approves ethical guidelines and helps members understand the differences between good and evil and apply their understanding to their decisions. Three levels of documentation are usually offered in the Code of Ethics. Code of business ethics, occupational practice norms, and employee's code of conduct.
Ethics & Professional Organizations Many professional associations have created code of conduct or ethical guidelines that members should obey. Moral norms can have a positive impact on people's judgment about the use of computers 17. Unfortunately, many employers do not encourage employees to participate in these professional organizations. However, the threat of loss of accreditation or accreditation due to violation of the Code of Conduct may result in exemption of ethical mistakes for employees who acquired some certification or professional certification. Loss of certification or certification could result in a significant decline in market competitiveness and profitability.
