This report examines the concept of coastal management. It includes the history of the British coastline, especially the history of the East Anglia coast, the current coastal protection theory and the challenges that will be faced in the future for possible climate change. This report also explains the various responsibilities and roles of organizations receiving government funding in coastal conservation management (such as UNEP). Throughout history, the coastline of the UK has been attacked by the navy. This has brought several major changes to the coast in the past 2000 years. However, these changes are not static. Variations in temperature over centuries changed the climate, causing sea level changes, precipitation changes, and the possibility of storm surges.

The problem of climate change is increasing the challenges of water resources and coastal management. Climate change brings about the possibility of changes in weather patterns, floods, droughts and sea level rise. Existing projects must be modified to achieve the original design goals and more attention must be paid to the pressure to manage the ecosystem. Coastal landscape vulnerability to predicted environmental change is related to adaptation to ecosystem. The current wetland loss rate in this area shows that these adaptation mechanisms are insufficient to cope with the current sea level rise rate and subsidence rate.
