This worksheet treats Upper Sproul as text for students to read and shape discussions. It aims to provide a clear example of how to effectively use observations to support analysis.

Please describe Upper Sproul on a busy day (eg 12: 00 on weekdays). These findings include, but are not limited to, humans, buildings, plants, activities, and so on. In other words, who is there, what happened?

Hint: Imagine that I am a potential student in Cal. I received an offer letter, but I do not know if I want to participate. Should I visit Upper Sproul on a busy day to learn about school?

Even if some of the observations used in the second part overlap, that is not a problem (and perhaps even that). For example, because there are a large number of students distributing flyers, people may say that they should not visit, but people may also say that they should visit for this reason.

Of course, the difference is not in observation, but it is in your discussion. So, if you say that a potential student should not visit Upper Sproul for leaflets, why do you need to answer this question? (Will it be iterable, do you need to answer the question if you think that prospective students should visit Upper Sproul?)

So the next step is to provide the reason for your answer to the second part. Use descriptive words and phrases to capture the effect of the three selected observations. Why do these observations say that while they are busy you tell potential students to access (or not access) Upper Sproul?

Your discussion can be easily written as a paragraph about Upper Sproul (or the whole article). So far, we have examined the overall effect of the three observations and have demonstrated them (for example, show Sproul interesting and show Sproul crowded). What is the specific effect of each observation? Use your discussion as the subject of the subject and then write one or two sentences for each observation

How do I extend these interpretation, analysis, and discussion tools to literary text? When reading literary texts, what kind of observations can you make about the text? What kind of detail can you observe?

In this regard, article # 1 needs to develop your own thesis and use discreet reading based on that thesis for discussion. Your prudent reading analysis should show how the evidence in the text supports your thesis discussion. The paper is a statement that you claim that it is true, but that is correct (through text analysis and careful reading) you need proof. Therefore, there is no summary of literary analysis and opinions and explanations are not explanations, so it is not a proof of the argument.

Closed reading promotes careful analysis of text while enhancing critical thinking ability, collaborative power and communication skill of the 21st century. With closed-lead passages, students can read short and attractive texts over and over again. Each reading has a clear purpose, can be supported by text related questions, and can be answered through discussion. In closed close packs, students review important topics while reading paragraphs on common topics, then participate in group discussions and class discussions.

Reading carefully is a detailed analysis of the function of sentence text, it is a reading process, and you also include it in literary analysis papers. You are practicing reading as you focus on specific literary elements, search for specific patterns, or follow articles on the development of specific characters. Likewise, when you see a movie highlighting elements, you are reading it carefully. Of course, when people write articles to organize elements, this is the beginning of prudent reading. As with more general literary analysis, reading carefully is not a means. Careful reading helps to provide greater meaning and importance of work
