Algorithms for MRI analysis fall into two broad categories: classification and segmentation. MRI series assignment label - normal / abnormal, classified as severity or diagnosis. Segmentation is the process of drawing various organization boundaries or "outlines". The general method of data preprocessing described below applies to both tasks. However, since most research so far focuses on subdivision, the rest of this article will be the focus of this article.

In the United States, movie classification is an arbitrary process, and the American Film Institute (MPAA) publishes evaluation via Classification and Rating Authority (CARA). The system was founded in 1968, but the versions listed below are the latest versions that have been in effect since 1990. Unreviewed movies are usually informally represented in newspapers such as "NR". All theater versions are screened by the Cinema Bureau of Ministry of Culture, Sports, Culture and Tourism and guaranteed to be suitable for public watching. Regardless of the rating, certain scenarios may be changed or deleted to comply with regulations. This classification was revised in January 2017 to replace the previous evaluation system

In the UK, movies, videos, and some computer games are classified by the British Film Classification Committee (BBFC), an independent non-governmental organization. BBFC film classification is not binding. The local council may have legal authority associated with the movie, refuse (and sometimes even refuse) BBFC's decision to screen the movie within its jurisdiction. Video recordings (exemptions) that are commercially sold or leased in the UK must be classified by BBFC, a classification institution designated by the Secretary of the Interior under the Video Act 1984. Some video games / computer games (people who may be limited must be classified by BBFC according to VRA)
