CLA 210 Arachne and Athena Essay

Ovid explained these two roles in a negative way so that the reader can see the reality of human behavior. His myths are used to teaching humanity about arrogant lessons and how it leads to death through fatal flaws, in which case Arachne can incorporate the perfect tapestry. At the beginning of the myth, Ovid settled the reason behind the story he was trying to convey. Athena has heard about women who are said to be able to weave as much as possible. Here, Ovid explains Athena as a goddess. I do not understand that Arachne is just a human being. Athena did not just appear in Arachne beyond the ground, but found her as an old lady. She suggested to come to Arakune and change it to hers.

Athena student is a girl named aratin. Arachne is a poor and simple girl living in this country. Her father is a humble and quiet person. He dyed wool to earn money for his living.
