Since 2004, Circle K International of Circle K HPU has provided more than 12,000 services from 550 projects including 325 members. Circle K HPU celebrates its 15th anniversary at the University of Hawai'i Pacific and plans an important year for service projects, fund-raising events and social events. The university edition of Kiwanis maintains some autonomy of Kiwanis, Circle K International, also known as CKI. The first official circle K club was approved in September 1947 at the University of Carthage (then Illinois) campus. As of 2010, Circle K members have 12,600 members in 500 clubs in 17 countries, and Circle K is the world's largest university service organization. K-Kids is suitable for fourth graders to fifth graders in elementary school and has 33,000 members in 1,100 clubs in 8 countries. The Builders Club (middle school) has 42,000 members in 1400 clubs in 12 countries. Aktion Club (for people with disabilities) has 400 members in 7 countries and 8,400 members. Founded in Sacramento, California in 1925, the key club is the world's oldest and largest high school student service program. As of 2010, the key club has 250,000 members in 30 countries, mainly 5,000 clubs in Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia and Australia as well as the United States and Canada. KIWIN'S (pronounced "kiwin") is operated under the protection of the key club only in California - Nevada - Hawaii State, but it is a high school program that elects its officials.
