Christopher Columbus: The Villain

Christopher Columbus, is he a hero or a villain? For nearly 500 years, people praised him and celebrated his life as if he were a good man for us. The school taught the students that Columbus is a wonderful person, discovered gold and pearls, and discovered a new land. The students also taught him the names of the three vessels that Christopher Columbus used in the first voyage. But when they grew, they did not know the truth about Christopher Columbus, what he really did to "finish" his mission. I believe that the school should show both sides of the Columbus story so that students can understand the facts behind the early American 'discovery'.

When Christopher Columbus landed on the Caribbean, he unintentionally found the United States. He left Spain and looked for Asia and India. When he and his crew arrived in Haiti for the second time, they asked the Indians for food, money and something they wanted, and even had sex with their women. Columbus punishes against those who commit crimes. Rape and slavery were robbed by locals. When local people in the land known as Arawak tried to counterattack, did it lead to the massacre of Columbus people? Command means destroying cockroaches, small cannons, spears and swords. Even wild hound dogs were released to destroy the Arawak people. And the person was dead at the end of the day or was ready to be shipped as a slave to Spain. These are not taught to students.

I do not know much about Columbus, but when it is taught to us as a very small class, the course is short and covers it only? positive? What he did, that is, those who believe Columbus is a nobleman.
