Christianity vs Free Will

The private Christian school I attended requested to receive Biblical lessons as part of the school curriculum from the 6th grade to the 12th grade. Every morning my fist class is Bible study, every morning, after we calm down, we are all open prayers. Each class will also end with prayer. Loud prayers are optional, but prayer is a compulsory subject for Bible study. I was not interested in providing public prayers. I always thought that prayer was a private project between God and me.
