Catholic, Greek Orthodox, Armenia: All Christian communities in Lebanon celebrate St. Nicholas. Many places, churches, monasteries and schools are named after St. Nicholas. For example, Escalier San Nicola Desert, San Nicola Garden, San Nicola Greek Orthodox Church etc. St. Nicholas is a patron saint of Beit Jala, a town 2 km (1.2 miles) west of Bethlehem and the saints spent four years on a pilgrimage to the sacred place.
