Chris McCandless: A True Hero

In the novel "Into The Wild", Christopher McCandless started to travel North America to find himself and remove daily Americans. The story that Christopher McCandless entered Alaska and was not ready at all was controversial. Some people think that he is too immature and blind idiot for his pride and understand his travel is suicide mission. Others think that he shows his courage, strength and individualism, removes social norms, lives the life he wants to live, he is the hero who he is not the life expected by others.

The definition of a hero in a dictionary is a person with outstanding courage or ability, admired by his brave behavior and noble qualities. Chris McCandless fits this definition very well. He is not lacking in ability. Chris is very talented. He did a great job in almost everything he tried, and there was no way to disturb him. During his one and half year adventure in the western United States, Chris showed all the qualities of heroes. He gave up everything he had to have to eliminate obstacles society imposed on him in subconscious in order to know who the real Chris McCandleys are. This is a bold and stubborn risk, but more importantly, Chris takes risks - many people do not even think about trying things because they can not predict the outcome.
