We gathered used research to provide information on the origins of our chocolate and the influence they have on purchasing decisions of customers. Statistics on various consumers in chocolate and Canada are available through this research facility. Secondary research will help us by providing insight into target markets and consumers to purchase chocolate and enumerating potential considerations for further research. We have constructed a summary report of relevant sources for our research topics.

Chocolate was introduced to Spain as a drink. The term "chocolate" was originally used for beverages similar to today's hot chocolate. Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes introduced drinks to Spain after returning from Mexican expedition. Chocolate drinks are getting more and more popular as they spread from Spain to Europe and the UK. Catherine de Medicis came to France from Florence and the chef followed.
