Taoism is an ancient philosophical and religious tradition deeply rooted in China's customs and world view. Taoism is also called Taoism, a more accurate way to express Chinese vocabulary in English. For centuries, Taoism has had a great impact on Chinese culture. China's alchemy (especially Nedan), Chinese astrology, Zen (Zen), some martial arts, Chinese medicine, Feng Shui have always intertwined with Taoism. Today, even outside China, Taoism affects neighboring societies in Asia.

Chinese philosopher Zheng Zhongying believes that Taoism is an integrated religion in Chinese history and tradition. "Confucianism, Taoism, or even later Chinese Buddhism belongs to these ideas and organizations.This is still religion in this sense.Zheng Zhongying also said that Taoist paradise view is" observation and meditation, (Dao) teachings can also include roads to heaven that are unrelated to human nature ".
