Children and Their Parents

The study aimed to investigate whether people can correctly identify children from the set of possible parents. Independent variables in this study were photographs of children aged 1, 10, and 20, and three photographs of possibly parental children. Dependent variables are the ability to correctly identify each child's parents. These variables serve as the proportion of participants who give the correct natural parents the highest similarity ranging from 1 to 10.

Abstract: Children of imprisoned parents may have twice as many health problems as environmental problems, academic and behavioral problems, and social stigma.
