Abstract Child practitioners of sexual abuse expressed a desire for well documented statistics on the prevalence of child sexual abuse. The extent to which sexual abuse of children is being conveyed is one of the most important factors to reach out to the public. In the absence of reliable, consistent statistics, it is more difficult for child sexual abuse groups to attract the general public and funders. Since 1992 no clear research or meta-analysis has been conducted on the prevalence of child sexual abuse, which practitioners can use as the basis for statistical data. As a result, as of the beginning of 2013, many practitioners are using old and misleading statistics. This white paper provides a basis for practitioners to use the range of prevalence of children's sexual abuse that can be trusted. This is the result of a thorough review of 16 studies that are considered relevant to the structured assessment of the literature. It is reasonable and suitable for trends discovered by researchers

Abstract Organizations that prevent sexual abuse with children and practitioners who interact with the public are seeking current statistics on the prevalence of child sexual abuse. In 2013, without clear research and meta-analysis, US practitioners were able to point out current statistics on the prevalence of child sexual abuse. This white paper is aimed at providing a basis for the prevalence of various reliable children's sexual abuse epidemics. US studies that collected data on the prevalence of child sexual abuse since 1992 have been collected and reviewed. Data, methods and age-specific criteria for child sexual abuse have been developed. Of the 16 identified studies, 6 met the criteria relevant to the practitioner. These studies resulted in a series of prevalence of child sexual abuse. These six studies have shown that the overall prevalence of childhood sexual abuse is 7.5 - 11.7% *. * Contact abuse only
