At the California State University of Technology Pomona school children ignored this quarter and I am participating in a course called "domestic violence". One of the most troublesome types of abuse I have learned in this class is to ignore children. This is difficult to find and more difficult to prove, but this is the most common form of domestic violence among the elderly living with their families. In 1998 an estimated 900,000 children were abused and more than half (53%) were ignored.
Neglecting a child is one of the most common forms of child abuse, and for many children this is still a serious problem. Failure to have a serious effect on physical development, mental development, and emotional development of a child, leading to long-term consequences such as poor academic performance, depression (emotion), and personality disorder. As the children overlooked are more likely to experience drug abuse and educational failure as they grow, these results may affect society as well.
Abandonment Child abandonment is the most common form of child abuse. Child abuse and ignorance are mostly parents themselves. While 79.4% of abused and neglected criminals are parents of victims, 61% of parents' 79.4% have completely ignored their children. Because negligible effects may last up to adulthood, physical, emotional, and cognitive developmental effects of neglect of young children in infancy may be detrimental
Ignoring a child (also called mental abuse) is often defined as a child-caregiver who can not meet the physical, emotional, educational or medical needs of a child. Ignoring children prohibits children from witnessing violence or serious abuse among parents or adults, neglecting, insulting or threatening children's violence, ignoring child's happiness. "Missed action: Failure to meet the basic physical, emotional or educational needs of children, or failure to protect children from injury or potential harm. Harm to children is a predictable outcome Negligence of medical / dental ignorance, education ignorance, inadequate supervision and oversight of exposure to violent environmental conditions "Based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
