PFAS is an acronym for the class of fluorinated organic chemicals (perfluoroalkyl species and polyfluoroalkyl materials) containing at least one perfluorinated carbon atom. This course contains over 3,000 chemical substances, but now there are fewer chemicals in the world market. PFAS differs in the number of carbon atoms forming its molecular skeleton from two carbon chains to a high molecular weight polymer and the most famous PFAS chemicals are PFOA and PFOS each containing a chain of 8 carbon atoms . These so-called long-chain PFAS were voluntarily eliminated in the United States, Europe and Japan. Many long chain PFAS are currently replaced in many applications by chemicals with fewer fluorinated carbon atoms, commonly referred to as short chain PFAS. The PFAS chemistry family and the new generation PFAS replace the eliminated PFAS, but contain many other fluorinated compounds with different structures (see Figure 1).

New organic fluorine materials are fluorine-containing hydrocarbon compounds with excellent chemical resistance, thermal stability, dielectric properties, flame retardancy, non-tackiness and low coefficient of friction. Because of these advantages, it can be widely used in many fields such as military, electronics, electrical, mechanical, chemical, textile etc. Fluorinated alkanes are represented by Freon. Freon is primarily fluorinated methane and ethane and may also contain chlorine or bromine. Most of these compounds are incombustible, chemically stable, heat resistant, low toxic gases or low boiling liquids. It is mainly used as a refrigerant and spray. The most commonly used are Freon 11 (CFCl 3) and Freon 12 (CF 2 Cl 2). Such compounds are also important fluorochemicals or solvents.
