Abstract; Soda-based glass samples were manufactured on a laboratory scale using 25% by weight commercial grade Na 2 CO 3 as a main component of quartz sand, a by-product of feldspar flotation in Taku province in northern Thailand. Fe 2 O 3 at a concentration of 0.1 to 10.0 wt% is incorporated into the glass mixture. The thoroughly mixed and dried powder was melted in an electric furnace at 1250 ° C. for 4 hours in a ceramic crucible. As a result, a transparent and air-free glass sample was obtained. The Fe 2 O 3 dopant turned out otherwise to turn colorless glass into a dark brown color.
This composite material is also called polyacid-modified composite resin, and the composite material is a dental material having chemical properties of composite resin and glass ionomer, but most components are the same as composite material. This composite material combines the fluoride release properties of the glass ionomer and the aesthetic appearance of the composite material and is less susceptible to moisture than the composite resin. Glass ionomer cement glass ionomer (polyacrylate) cement is based on ion leached glass and releases fluoride using polyacid during curing process. The cured material consists of the original glass particles embedded in a polyacrylate gel. Glass ionomer materials cure by acid-base reaction in aqueous environment
Glass example - It can be formed naturally (volcanic glass called obsidian), it is solid, its chemical composition is not necessarily the same and there is no crystal structure (single atoms in the glass are randomly arranged Glass is not a mineral. It is a naturally formed solid, has a specific chemical composition and can be represented by the formula H2O and has a crystal structure defined in the solid state Therefore ice is mineral liquid water is not because it is not solid and not have a crystal structure
Minerals are homogeneous natural inorganic solids. Each mineral has a distinct chemical composition and its own crystal structure. The mineral may be a single element such as copper (Cu) or gold (Au), or may be a compound composed of many elements. Approximately 2,500 kinds of minerals have been reported. The center of the earth, the mantle, and the Earth's crust can be thought of as a huge rock recycling machine. However, the elements that make up the rock are never created or destroyed, but you can redistribute one type of rock to another kind of rock. For additional information on specific elements, refer to the Periodic Table of Elements.
