Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin (16th April 1889 - 25th December 1977) was a British comedian, filmmaker and composer, famous for the quiet movie era. Chaplin has become a global icon through his screen character "Wanderers" and is considered one of the most important people in the history of the film industry. His career ranged from Victorian childhood to the year before his death in 1977, including worship and controversy, for 75 years. Children's childhood in London is both poverty and difficulty. His father was not there and his mother was struggling financially so he was sent to two studios before 9 years old. At the age of 14, the mother was devoted to a mental hospital. Chaplin visited the concert hall from a young age and later started acting as a stage actor and a comedian. At the age of 19 he made a contract with the famous Fred Carno who brought him to America.
