Characters of Dark City

I gave a report on books on the underworld of Frank Lauria, a character in the underworld. The main character of this book is John Murdoch, Mr. Hand, Mr. Book. When Murdoch woke up in a cold bath in a strange room, he always doubted everything. He was being called for a series of brutal murders that he did not remember. He later discovered that he had the power called tuning that allowed him to stop time and change people's perception. It is a bit like brain manipulation. He soon discovered that he was pursued by an alien tribe who claimed he was a stranger. They want him, because he is not immune to the operation of the brain so he is a threat
