During the Great Depression, Billie Jo Kelby lived in Oklahoma's farm with his parents. Her father, Bayard Kelby (hereinafter referred to as Daddy), is a wheat farmer who always wants a son. Her mother, Polly Kelby (hereinafter referred to as Ma), is a pregnant housewife. The whole family expects the birth of a baby. The farm was in trouble due to drought and sandstorms, the neighbor lived a better life in California, but when she played the piano, Billy Joe forgot her sorrow that she has cultivated over the years .
