Harrison Bergeron - son of George and Hazel Bergeron. Harrison is 14 and 7 feet tall and it seems to be the most advanced model that human beings can produce. He is a genius, a ridiculous great country, a dancer who can leave the prison, and a man who claims to be an emperor. If Harrison did not succeed in defeating the government, Vonnegt suggests that no one can. Harrison's assassination against television shows that America's last best hope failed and has no chance to escape the law of equality.

George Bergeron - Harrison's father and husband's husband. In order to offset his physical strength, George must wear heavy on his neck. George, a wise man, must also wear a radio station that prohibits him from contemplating. The noise that this radio sounds every 22 seconds interferes George's natural tendency to think strongly. George is calm but it is not bold. He believes in observing the law and avoiding risks.
