Alexander the Great became king after his father, Philip II 's death. Alexander began to conquer the Persian Empire in the first half of 334 fight against Granicon. Alexander's unit destroyed the Persian army. A year later, Alexander the Great defeated the Persian forces in the battle of Isas and released the urban state of the small city Greece.
