Change and intolerance, war, inequality, and poverty improvement - These are just a few of the problems found in the text I read during the term. Some of them were written hundreds of years ago, but we have the same problem in today's world. Many things have changed over time, but they have not improved. Today, war and violence continue in Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries. We still persecute the poor by facilitating the upper class while reducing funding for programs such as tax increases and Medicaid and benefits.
One of the most amazing things we are experiencing everyday is that the numbers change the perception of our time. Please see how we were consuming content and how we are consuming content today (TV versus Molotov, TF1 v. Netflix, Radio, SoundCloud). Past distribution models are linear and unique. The new model is open source on demand. Users can access resources anytime, anywhere, regardless of their biography or cost. Of course, things are not that simple - MOOCs are mainly used by regular employees in developed countries (see HBR analysis). However, we may have just started the process. Initiatives like Africa's Andorra show that the situation is changing even in developing countries.
Innovation and improvement are two things that happen every day. With new ideas and suggestions there is always a way to improve the company to change the perspective of the mission, or to change the way of day-to-day work of office dynamics. Whatever it is, there is always an improved approach that can affect how employees see change management in the workplace. Listen, listen, listen. If the company needs to make another suggestion, it will receive feedback from employees and respond to it. It is important to keep it within the loop as all customers are satisfied and they have confirmed that all work has been completed. Ask the employee to ask questions. Is the change valid? What can we do to make it work well? Does the employee have any questions or concerns? All these are good questions, but if you want to gather feedback, you actually need to read and use.
