Chandra Checal, a fearless revolutionary and a great freedom fighter, was born in Jabua district of Madhya Pradesh on July 23, 1906. He is the son of Pandit Sita Ram Tiwari and Jagrani Devi. He began his education at Bhavra and went to Varanasi at the age of 14 when he was taught to lead a hard life at Brahamachari.
During Varanasi, he was strongly inspired by Mahatma Gandhi's non-cooperative movement. He actively participated in a campaign where he was 15 when he was 15 years old. In the courtroom he called himself 'Azad' and named his father 'Swadhin', his mother's name was 'Dhart Ma', with perseverance, courage and tenacity he was I endured all eyelashes. He shouted 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' with a whip blow, and since then it was called "Azad" from a local Indian and has since been named Chandrashekhar Azad. He promised that he will never be arrested by Britain and will die as a free man.
When the Chauri-Chaura incident brought about an interruption in the non-cooperative movement, Azad turned to an armed revolution and formed the "Indian Social Republic Association" with other revolutionaries to disseminate completely independent information. He actively participated in revolutionary activities and participated in an attempt to blow up the Viceroy train in 1926 with Kakori Train Robbery. For the British government he is a terrorist. On 27th February 1931, Azad was betrayed by a best friend who informed British police. He was besieged by British police at Allahabad's Alfred Park. In 1921 when Mahatma Gandhi began an uncooperative movement, Chandrasek Azad actively participated in revolutionary activities. Bhagat Singh opposed individual acts of terrorism and issued a horn for massive mobilization. In 1928 he contacted another famous revolutionary, Chandrasekhar Azad.
