The Chicago Public School (CPS) system faces a problem since I went to kindergarten. As a CPS product, I witnessed teacher strikes, budget problems, and school fund shortage. In my high school community Englewood, there are four high school graduates at the end of the academic year. As a result, the dropout rate will rise, and there is a possibility of causing many problems in the community. Education is considered an important theme in most elections. However, if candidates are elected, education will be wiped out without being improved. I am planning to quit CPS next year, but my community has to cope with school system problems. I hope that the candidate for the governor will take actions that will have a positive impact on students in Chicago and the community.
