Censorship in China

Since the establishment in 1776, all American citizens have enjoyed freedom of expression, but not all countries have this right. As a communist country, China holds most of individual civil liberties. In the People's Republic of China Constitution (China) in 1982, freedom of speech and freedom of press were guaranteed, but often infringed by the now corrupt governments. The government requires 80% of news to be positive and 20% to be negative, sometimes changing the facts.

Unfortunately, under the rule of President Xi Jinping, the Chinese censorship system expanded. Of the 180 countries surveyed by World Press Freedom Index 2016, China was 176th place. Last year, Chinese journalists faced kidnapping and threats to relatives, and further (in the case of reporter Wang Xiaoyu) was forced to broadcast "confession". Weibo is a term used to describe all Weibo in China, but when people say "microblogging" people generally mean Sina Weibo because the domain name weibo.com belongs to Sina I think that. Like sites like Twitter and Tumblr, Weibo provides a place to create users own news portal. Some reporters even imitated traditional press and even established their Weibo to report uncensored coverage.

China is famous for its censorship and communism view. Their citizens are not affected at all. The strict examination guidelines formulated by China is the responsibility of the radio, film, television management office (ADRFT). In 1988, 1993 and 1997, China enacted a number of review regulations. The movie must obey a long list of 15 regulations. Some of them insist that they prohibit movies that may hurt the dignity of China or harm the stability of the society of the country. According to the China Film Industry Promotion Act, they are requesting that a film script be submitted to an agent before the movie is approved. If a particular movie is more controversial and includes politics, race, religion, or other topics, these scripts will be investigated more thoroughly.
