Cedar Point is a 364 acres (147 hectares) amusement park in Erie Lake Peninsula, Sandusky, Ohio. Opened in 1870, it is the second oldest amusement park in the USA, second only to Lake Compounce. Cedar Point owned and operated by Cedar Fair is regarded as the core of the amusement park chain. Known as the "American Rolling Coast", this park has a world record of 71 rides including 17 roller coasters - the second in the world, second only to Six Flags Magic Mountain. That latest roller coaster, Steel Vengeance, is open to the public on May 5, 2018.
