In the Catholic church, not everyone is considered equal, men have greater privilege than women. The Bible and the Church are from the perspective of men (Christ 86), and a passage in the Bible is used to strengthen gender hierarchy. In fact, repression of women began with the first story of the Genesis of Genesis. This portrays that women are inferior to men and even evil.
