This article will be about the short story written by "Royal Cathedral", Raymond Carver. The cathedral is simply a human story, his acceptance and understanding of the blind man. This person is a symbol of this overlapping theme of this story, it overcomes human personal prejudice. Throughout the story, the talker shows what he is about the blind, his struggle and his lifestyle have a predetermined mindset. The authors indicate that the stubbornness of the narrator affects both the relationship with the wife and the arousal of personal emotions.
In the short story, the author is Raymond Carver who uses images, symbols, and stories from the first person viewpoint. The theme of the cathedral is to identify the differences that can be seen and watched and to be able to draw through the main character of the story. Carver has a unique way of writing short stories, making it a simple way for readers to understand the theme of the story. This story is about how the talker can not see how life is giving him and about blindness and his wife's friend finds it. In my opinion, the cathedral reflects us, society, and of course many people, so it is a moving story. It shows how important it is to provide more content to people.
At my MFA writing workshop, I read the story of Raymond Carver "Cathedral". If I am generous, I will explain that this short story is well designed and funny, and it does. To be honest, the "cathedral" is a story, the main character accusing his wife, throwing some of his psychology, acting roughly, slapping another man and his wife's friendship, and public To be rude and horrible blind friends. This story is full of misogyny and skills, and if it tries to criticize this behavior, this is not necessarily a bad story. But I think this story is very shallow, the reader is asked to buy a hero at the end of the story.
Story Raymond Carver's Cathedral tells the story of human life that changes from frustration and carelessness to faith and diversity. The cathedral is a symbol of faith, transformation, creativity, and power, and is therefore an important part of the Carver story. When an author uses a strong image to explain the manipulation of a picture the husband is creating, the process of drawing it becomes the climax of the story. In this story, images and symbolism are used frequently, but they produce very different effects in very different ways. In addition, this cathedral is tied to the representatives of the blind as missionaries and teachers. The symbolic meaning of the cathedral in the story makes people believe in the future and optimism
