Cathedral, a Story Review

Did you imagine a world that closes your eyes and is ubiquitous? Have you stopped thinking about the sunrise, fireworks, or the feeling that you do not even see your own face? For many people, the answer is yes, but the further answer is no. It is rare that people spend time to understand and understand each and every one of us. For this reason, people often do not receive education from people with various obstacles everyday. Society has gotten used to being indifferent to those unhappy members, and now this cruel discrimination is standard in today's world.

Raymond Carver and "Cathedral", John Updyck and "A & P", "Cathedral" and A & P are short stories written in the same century. But even if they all introduce the role of stereotypes that change their perception of the world in some way, they have a different side. The atmosphere of the story is different from the number of people involved in each story. The story "cathedral" occurs only in family homes, husbands, and wives can be identified as suicide attempts in the past, and finally as static roles as blind people.

At my MFA writing workshop, I read the story of Raymond Carver "Cathedral". If I am generous, I will explain that this short story is well designed and funny, and it does. To be honest, the "cathedral" is a story, the main character accusing his wife, throwing some of his psychology, acting roughly, slapping another man and his wife's friendship, and public To be rude and horrible blind friends. This story is full of misogyny and skills, and if it tries to criticize this behavior, this is not necessarily a bad story. But I think this story is very shallow, the reader is asked to buy a hero at the end of the story.

In the short story, the author is Raymond Carver who uses images, symbols, and stories from the first person viewpoint. The theme of the cathedral is to identify the differences that can be seen and watched and to be able to draw through the main character of the story. Carver has a unique way of writing short stories, making it a simple way for readers to understand the theme of the story. This story is about how the talker can not see how life is giving him and about blindness and his wife's friend finds it. In my opinion, the cathedral reflects us, society, and of course many people, so it is a moving story. It shows how important it is to provide more content to people.

The cathedral is a short story by Raymond Carver. This story forms a sarcastic situation in which the blind man teaches the foresightful person to "see" truly for the first time. Near the end of the story, Carver drew two characters together in the cathedral's picture as a symbolic nucleus of the story. The narrator found at a very early stage that blinds are not particularly wanted in my house. In most stories, he observed one by one and revealed his shallowness. In the next excerpt, he imagines that a blind wife must feel in her bed of death.
