Introduction: The project has been started. This is half of the completed project. Likewise, a project that ends in the middle is the same as not finishing. It is not easy to properly terminate the project. Completing a project is actually more difficult than starting a project. Case study "System approach to project termination" explains issues related to project termination. These problems can be divided into two categories: intellect and emotion. Intellectual property issues include identifying the remaining artifacts, finding and canceling unnecessary incomplete tasks, closing work orders and physical facilities, and collecting and organizing historical data.
Case study A couple of years ago, the author participated in a large-scale information system project, which was a large-scale public sector organization and ended early. Warne (1999) made an official case study of the project. This project was originally intended to run for 9 years, and the final system was about 250 million dollars, but it was only about 2.5 million dollars in just 2.5 years (excluding developer salaries). The project did not provide practical software until it ended, but did many preliminary analyzes and created many documents. Details on the results of projects and case studies can be found in Warne (1999, 2002) and Warne and Hart (1996). A model of discussion and interpretation on the cause of termination is also shown in Hart (1997).

The case study method of qualitative analysis is a specific way to collect, organize and analyze data. The aim is to collect comprehensive, systematic and detailed information on each case of interest. Next, the starting point for the case study is to make sure that the information in each case is as complete as possible. Mr. Crosthwaite adds as follows.
