Carl Sandberg's "Grass"

Carl Sandberg's poem "Grass" reminds me of past mistakes and aims to fix it so that it does not hurt our descendants. Sandberg first published this poem in the midst of the Second World War in 1918. His death in this poem is very strong, perhaps there are countless deaths in the world, and he is tired of hearing it. Niven opened a short biography article emphasizing children from Sandburg's Swedish immigrants. His parents met them after arriving in Illinois, USA. They are seeking "a part of American democracy and prosperity." (Niven 4) His father was a diligent worker, hired as a blacksmith in the railway garden.

Sunderburgh born in 1878 was available in English and Swedish. According to Niven, Carl Sandberg was anxious to integrate into American culture and society. When he was in elementary school he changed his name from the Swedish name "Karl" to more American "Charles".
