Myocardial infarction is also known as a heart attack in amateur language. It is usually caused by blood clots in the blood vessels supplying blood to the heart. This is an acute disorder that requires emergency medical procedures because it may be fatal. That treatment usually includes a drug that dissolves the thrombus and creates a way to circulate the blood through the heart. Other treatments involve the creation of a surgical procedure that bypasses the artificial blood vessel blocking the artery.
I am a researcher who is funded by BHF from Leeds University and is working on eradicating the first cardiovascular disease in the world. Many cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease and stroke have a common factor, the presence of thrombus. I am currently exploring how these changes in thrombus play a role in cardiovascular diseases and whether changes in their structure lead to better results or poor results. To investigate the structure of a clot, two basic items are required. The ability to overlook the microscope, it alone, usually in the darkness and hours of abilities. Equally important is the amount of fresh blood, but fortunately, my colleagues will be happy to make a very good blood bank. If no one concludes that I am a vampire, it is difficult to explain my work.
The term "heart disease" is often used interchangeably with the term "cardiovascular disease". Cardiovascular disease generally refers to a condition involving a stenotic or occluded vessel that can cause a heart attack, chest pain (angina) or stroke. Other cardiovascular diseases such as heart disease affecting myocardium, valves or rhythm are also considered forms of heart disease. Early detection of heart disease is easier to treat, so please tell your doctor about your health problem in your heart. If you are concerned about heart disease, tell your doctor the steps you can take to reduce the risk of heart disease. This is especially important if you have a family history of heart disease.
