Canto V : Dante's Inferno

Canto V showed Dante and Virgil the second circle. Here, Minos is a guard that assigns souls to specific areas of hell based on the severity of sin. Minos then tried to designate Dante and Virgil as specific circles, but it was silenced when Virgil stated his god order.

Furthermore, in Canto V, we also saw the first circle whose soul is endlessly spinning. Some of the people living here are basically dead for love. Among them are Cleopatra and Dido. Most of these souls are women. I oppose the proposal that men are only tempted and that women are responsible for temptation. But when Eve tempts Ya with Apple, it can go back to creation of a story. But this still does not obscure the fact that this is a form of gender discrimination.

When I saw, I found that Dante refers to Francesca da Rimini who was married for her political reasons with her husband. Then she began to have sex with her husband's older brother. Her husband found this and killed them. However, Inferno draws the soul of Francesca and tells Dante to fall in love with a lover while reading Lancelot. This soul received sympathy and could not be put in the holes of fire hellish peculiarities, but since they had to rotate indefinitely, they were still punished for love. Obviously, Francesca is not penalized for love, not for adultery. I saw this because Dante really felt pity on her and her lover 's soul.
