Let me first say I'm thoroughly enjoying satire; this is the wit and the extreme sarcasm I admire most. After Voltaire delved down Candid, I was fascinated by a ridiculous barbaric situation that made a lot of evil experienced by humans a drama. I think Voltaire skillfully made this special sarcastic through his collection of themes and symbols. The seemingly rapid Voltaire allowed the reader to experience a series of extremely cruel events that proved horribly brilliant cartoons.
Frankly is the philosophical criticism of hypocrisy behind the Enlightenment, religious leader, and inhuman acts act in the name of justice. Quoting real events like such seven year war, the devastating Lisbon earthquake of 1755, and the execution of Admiral John By was angered a lot of people. The rationalization of Pangloss is excessive, but his role is used to mimic philosophers who believe that everything happens for a specific reason. Voltaire believes that the danger of optimism is that it leads to negligence. When Candide tried to rescue Jack from drowning, Pangloss hampered him from proving that Jack was drowning.
Voltaire's frankness The frankness reflects the philosophical value of enlightenment. Voltaire's novelistic work satirized the ideology of the former regime, criticizing the political, social and religious ideals of the time. A common feature of enlightenment is anti-feudalism. Philosophers oppose the separation of the old regime and promote equality among people. In the novel, Voltar's Candido repeated, in the novel, Candide, Voltaire repeatedly used human nature to think about the situation and lifestyle of other people than himself. Voltaire uses Candide's journey to draw a human hypothesis that the grass is always more environmentally friendly on the other side. This theme is reflected in Candide 's group, wealth experience, and interaction with other characters. Development of the theme is done in this way
One of Candide 's main dilemmas is an optimistic and pessimistic worldview. The optimistic view towards the world is related to Voltaire's criticism of Christianity throughout the story. Voltaire bore religion through a series of corrupt, hypocritical religious leaders, but he does not condemn daily religious believers. Candide grew up under the guidance of Pangloss, I thought this was the best world and I thought things were due to natural reasons. This Pangloss 's view is an optimistic view on the Christian - based world, the problem of the late Candid' s story, to Pangloss, "Things can not be realized because everything is the best" (Voltaire, 35). However, as Candid experienced many horrible events such as whiplash, rape, robbery, unjust enforcement, illness, earthquake, betrayal, he questioned the belief in optimism.
