Since the establishment of North British Columbia University, much effort has been made to create sustainable facilities. There are many aspects of university that contribute to sustainability, such as buildings and ongoing projects. However, students and teachers are not necessarily involved in maintaining a university as a green university in Canada. UNBC as a Canadian green university may also be questioned compared to other Canadian universities.
The Canadian Green Party is a special minority party that appeared in the political circle of Canada about 25 years ago in the early 1980s. A small group of people belonging to the green party is a group of funny people. They are all ages and come from various perspectives and opinions. Even as a political party, they have different personal values and beliefs than the other Canadian parties. The most obvious difference is an attempt to destroy the bottom - up system, which means that all true power and responsibility will stay at the level of the local chapter. This is a Green Party's unique, since most political organizations are top down and responsible for their own membership, income, policies, and incentives. As a coalition party they share their own future political goals.
There are two reasons why the Green Party has not yet acquired an important position in Canada. The first reason for not winning an important position is that Canada's green parties are still relatively new. The Canadian green party is still in his teens and is only 25 years old. In this short period, educating people in the country is difficult. The more educators there are, the more people will support the party. This will help to raise party funds and educate more people. It is somewhat similar to the step program, but largely depends on the previous step.
A Canadian green party was established in 1983 to promote environmental problems. Some party candidates had little support from voters until 2004. The change in the Canadian Party 's fiscal law means that the party that won 2% of the votes in the country receives public funds. Under the guidance of leader Jim Harris, the Green Party nominated all the candidates for the 2004 general election and gained funds. The combination of the increased resources within the party and the growing environmental awareness of the voters has resulted in the growth of the party and in 2008 acquired 7% of the votes. Elizabeth May, who became the leader of the party in 2006, won the first seat of the Green Party. Commons House in 2011. (See also Canada Green Party.)
