TerraCog has a lot of tension that caused the company to suffer losses. The company has an unstable management team, with real leadership, clarity of department and personal goals, lack of team structure, lack of decision making process within the team, and lack of negotiations on many team collisions It is missing. Since 1985, President Richard Fiero of TerraCog does not recognize all the tensions that his leadership team brought to the company. Fiero appointed a new vice president Emma Richardson to lead an aviation project involving changing decisions.

TerraCog is a private company specializing in high quality global positioning system (GPS) and fishing sonar equipment. Established in 1977, TerraCog has started manufacturing high end sonar equipment for serious sports fishermen and crew. In the late 1990s, the company launched the first GPS products specifically for hunters, hikers and camper cars. Management believes that the company has converted feedback from retailers and users into superior product design and functionality, which has driven the growth of the GPS business. Through careful channel management and calling Fiero "deeply understanding the needs of professional retailers", TerraCog has a strong relationship with key customers. Fiero also believes that TerraCog understands consumer preferences and uses better than a GPS manufacturer with a core business of the automotive industry.

The company does not always enter the market at all times. Indeed, TerraCog revealed that it is free to delay innovation while minimizing risk. Because when the company finally released new products, they surpassed their competitors in meeting customer needs. Customer's word recommendation gives TerraCog a powerful handheld GPS power. Earlier in 2007, TerraCog was preparing to enter a new GPS submarket that is under-served, including bicycle and fitness applications. At the Summer Outdoor Retailer Show in 2006 (the largest trade fair for outdoor suppliers), competitors Posthaste announced the GPS prototype "BirdsI" showing satellite imagery. The image is not a live but it is a geosynchronous satellite picture "stitched" in the view. This has been greatly improved over simple vector-based graphics used in other industries (see Figure 3 for comparison). It did not impress the TerraCog team.
