Method / Materials The flammability of four different fabrics was tested. My independent variable is the amount of laundry of the fabric, the dependent variable is the duration of burn. I cleaned all the cloths without softening agent, tested and recorded the data, and examined the time it takes to burn the entire cloth. Then I washed the cloth with liquid cloth softener once and then it washed it five times. I tested and recorded both. Three tests are required for each type of fabric. Finally, use the formula R = 60 cm ^ 2 / sec to calculate the burn rate of each fabric.

As a result, each of the four fabrics has increased burn rate after one wash with fabric softener. The cotton velvet cloth is 7.69% faster than the control, the cotton 100% and the flame-retardant polyester is close to 7.67%, the burning rate has increased by 7.29%. After five washes with softener, the burning rate of flame retardant and polymer blended fabric increased significantly, 35.97% and 32.2% faster than the control. Combustion of 100% cotton and 100% flannel is also fast, the combustion rate increases by 12.45% and 8.63%.

Please make sure the rigid fabric is rayon. Like cotton, it looks like a burn. It is made from the technology of natural products, but it is made synthetically by making it red brothers, neither natural nor synthetic fiber can be claimed. Rayon is easily included in people interested in the manufacture of environmentally friendly fabrics and is included in many natural fabric wardrobes because it has all the advantages of cotton. These will ignite and burn very quickly - please be careful. The fibers can curl from the flame, melt and drip (very cautious), leaving hard plastic beads or coke blocks. Burning these cloths produces black smoke and harmful fumes. This composition burns with strong, irritating pathological sweet chemicals or burnt meat. Please make sure the rigid fabric is rayon.
