On March 12, 2013, the Better Business Council expelled the Best Local BBB Southern District Business Improvement Committee in Los Angeles. The Los Angeles group changed its name to Business Consumers Alliance and stated that it followed all policies of the Board. On August 16, 2011, the US Business Council (CBBB) announced that it has officially integrated the operations of the US and Canada. The Board of Directors of CBBB voted for the integration plan earlier this month. The Better Business Bureau of the Board is the International Headquarters of the BBB System, which provides support services to approve the local BBB and increase its efficiency. According to the statement, the integration marks "... provide an improved customer experience for those who purchase goods and services at the border". Stephen A. Cox, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of CBBB, says: "We are actually a North American market, the BBB system now reflects this, consumers not only make it easier for companies in both countries to view it, but also to file complaints and settle disputes it's simple."
