Ajahn Chah was born in a wide and comfortable family in the village in the northeastern part of Thailand. In his youth, he was appointed as a beginner and was appointed completely as a monk when he reached 20 years old. However, as so many people took time of Ajang Tea, it was soon discovered that there was little opportunity for an individual audience to meet him. The visitor immediately understood the message. Thoughts wish judgment, criticism, and life will act according to our expectations. We strongly insist on rejecting the present moment or refusing it, and will never settle in the past or in the future. If we want peace, a good way to get started is to fully understand what we are doing.

During retreat I heard twice that Ajan Brahm would listen to my teacher meditation twice. His argument is why people are crazy about meditation, whether they are good or not, when there is no self. Non-self allow people to give up saying "I am doing good meditation" or "I am doing bad meditation", but understand that there is only a causal relationship. This allows people to focus on getting out of expectations by placing the right reason (right, kind and gentle) in the right place.
