Since Brits first settled in the United States, British people have brought a lot to our culture: progress of popular bands like English, allies of war and One Direction. Since the 1960's, British students have recommended traveling around the world, middle-school (high school) and university (university) over the course of a year, volunteering and catching up on special courses Year Wikipedia). In career and career, gap year means to stop working officially to pursue other interests, usually independent of normal work.
The estimate of the gap year in the UK shows that young people from the age of 18 to the age of 25 in the UK need gap ears (Simpson 2005: 447). It is estimated that 10,000 young people participate in the arrangement of the third world countries each year in this volunteer group which is the annual group representing the UK annual industry (interview with Richard Oliver) Out Group, Simpson 2004: 109). In 2005, Cousins (2007) estimated that the UK Conservation Society of Cooperation dispatched about 7,550 volunteers to 341 conservation projects in 71 countries, and the main recipient countries are developing countries. The main activities of these volunteers are to experience contact with nature and to gain experience of protection (Cousins 2007: 1029)
Have you heard of that gap year? This is a common practice in British society. When young people complete secondary education (ie high school), they usually take a year's "vacation" before entering university. In many cases, they are finding jobs, traveling and finding other ways to experience other cultures. Prince William of Cambridge practiced math skills in Belize during the rest of the year, taught English in Chile and worked in a British dairy (Prince of Wales 2012a). His brother Prince Harry defended AIDS orphans in Africa and served as a jackeroo in Australia (Prince of Wales 2012b)
