Breast implants are not a lifelong device and breast implants may not be a one time surgery. The most common complications of MemoryShape® implants for breast augmentation include reoperation for some reasons, removal of the implant with or without replacement, and eyelid ptosis. The most common complications of MemoryShape® implants for breast reconstruction include re-surgery for any reason, removal of the implant with or without replacement, and capsule contracture. The low risk of complications is rupture. The health effects of defective silicone gel breast implants are not fully established. It is recommended that MRI be performed three years after the first implantation and check the vein rupture every two years thereafter.
