Boy Scouting

Participation events are held at the beginning of the academic year and can be held at local schools or local franchise partners. During these events, you will have the opportunity to meet with the unit leader, get answers to your questions and fill out the application form to participate in the scout campaign. We would be pleased if you would be interested in participating in the American Boy Scouts. To help guide you, we outlined the steps you need to become a member.

Your board will be able to help you find the unit that suits your needs. Do you need a unit to meet on a certain day of the week or a unit borrowed at your child's school? The council will be able to help you find unit packs or units to best satisfy your individual needs.

Eagle Scout is the best credit or grade among the Boy Scouts program of the American Boy Scouts. The name "Eagle Scout" was established more than 100 years ago. After the long review process, only 4% of Boy Scouts received this level. Requirements required to reach this level can take years to achieve. Eagle Scout has been awarded to about 2.5 million young people since its founding. The requirement contains at least 21 merit badges. Eagle Scouts must show Scout Spirit, an ideal attitude based on scout vow and law, service and leadership. This includes a wide range of services for Scout planning, organization, leadership and management. The Eagle Scout receives medals and badges to clearly identify the scout's achievements. Additional awards are available through Eagle Palms, which is used to meet the requirements of additional attendance, leadership and performance badges.

Eagle Scout is the highest level available for Boy Scouts. In 2012, when appearing as a gay person on the Boy Scouts team, the army chief of the boy refused to approve the 17th-year-old Ryan Anderson's Eagle Scout Badge Project, projects containing bullying prevention information. . In the same year, the US Boy Scouts announced that they will continue to exclude company open-sex participants from leaders or participants. After the announcement, Eagle Scouts of all ages began resigning and returned medals to the BSA office. Within a year, more than 200 letters explained why they resigned on the Internet.
