Borinquen

Until the early 1500s, Taiyano Indians lived on "Borinken" island. The Caribbean Indians attacked more peaceful Tylenol and founded several villages. The fleet arrived in the Caribbean Sea in November, 1493. They visited several islands before arriving at the main destination of Hispaniola. Therefore, Owand approved the massacre of Jaragua in November 1503. In 1504, when Tainos occupied a small Spanish garrison in Higüey on the east side of the island, Ovando appointed Poncede León to suppress the rebellion. When Columbus arrived in Puerto Rico on the second voyage on November 19, 1493, Tino lived on the island. They call it Borikén (Borinquen's Spanish Transliteration). Columbus named San Juan Bautista as St. John the Baptist Church. After reporting the results of the first trip, Columbus brought a letter from King Ferdinand. Juan Ponce de León, the lieutenant of Columbus, established the first colony in Spain on August 8, 1508. After that, he became the first governor of the island. After all, traders and other sea tourists called the whole island Puerto Rico, San Juan became the name of the main trade / shipping port.
