In the past few days I have read a series of articles by Chris Arnade. Chris McCandless went into the wilderness, becoming a part of the wilderness and living in the wild made him his dream. After graduating from high school, Chris took the first step, realized his dream, went to the Pacific Coast, and eventually arrived in the Mojave Desert. Prevent him from traveling to the wilderness. When returning to Annandale where he lived, his sister Carney said "He is too thin, he looks like a picture of Jesus on the cross" (118).
